Apart from the third day supply of water there was no major problem in Shimla this summer season. Yes the problem is more severe in New Shimla and other SADA areas. These areas no doubt have wider roads but water supply is pathetic. Trust the goras who laid foundations of the water supply system in main city area and this has been working ok till now where as in new areas because of lack of proper planning water distribution is in mess.

Anyway, weather god has been kind this summer season and its been raining almost daily and keeping the water sources full with water. Most of the water is lost in transit to the main water storage tanks in the city. Well, if all was well how would the IPH deptt. would justify its existance!!
