Preface
On 17 September 1999 I lost my father … no i think i lost a friend in a car accident. Yes ! i lost a friend. I know i can’t get him back but i have a feeling that he is always with me. Whenever i have any test in life i just … close my eyes think about him .He always comes to me , pats me on the back and says GO GET IT ! . I won’t say that i always get what i want but i have performed better in life and i am able to give my best shot.
His Life
Papa belonged to a very poor family and came from a remote village of Himachal Pradesh . I remember him telling me that he ran away from the road to the fields when he saw a bus for the first time.
He faced many hardships in life. He had to walk 12 Km’s everyday to reach his school. Never had enough clothes to change at least once in a week. But he had a zeal and it was to study and study hard.
He made his way out of school to join Punjab University (Chandigarh) for graduationand then went up to complete his Masters from IIT Kharagpur (West Bengal). His parents were not rich enough to support his studies so he took loans to study further and got scholarships.

He was good at making friends and maintaining relationships |
In-between he met my Mom and proposed a marriage to her parents which they accepted . After finishing his Masters he joined the government services . He excelled there also and did exceptionally well . He was about to go to Norway to represent the Himachal Pradesh government in a training program when an untimely death snatched him away from us.

This is a picture which was taken at a wedding in village. I have kept this picture because this captures the real person my Dad was , Jovial , friendly and humorous. Mom is standing with him. |
He had very good communication skills and was able to establish a friendly relationship with almost anybody. He was jovial and friendly.
In an interview he was asked “What’s your favourite hobby ?” and he said “Playing with kids “.
His life is an example of how a man can do exceptionally well in spite of hardships and long struggle. Just needs motivation.
WE MISS YOU A LOT PAPA

It must have been very hard for you considering you were very young.
But what a lovely and upbeat way to remember him. This post reminds me of someone I lost too.
Like your dad, he was full of joy.His humour was of an endearing and innocent nature. Such people leave so much happiness in their wake, that even after they are gone, it becomes impossible to associate a permanent gloom of death with their memory. The lives they’ve lived, even if they’ve been cut short, become remarkable testimonials to the resilience of human spirit.
Whenever I think of things he used to say, I feel light, I feel happy and I smile. His memory lifts my soul up.Long after he’s gone, I feel he is teaching me ‘jeene ka andaaz’ through whatever memories I have of him.

Really Story of Gr8 Person life , Struggle make the human strong.Salute him.. , We cant take his life back but he must be Motivated us or our young generation.
